The Royal Wedding in Denmark between Crown Prince Frederik and Mary Donaldson from Tasmania was the largest media event ever in Denmark. And one of the largest ever world wide. From 3-16 May more than 376 million viewers worldwide followed the TV coverage and 180 million viewed the wedding live.

For the first time at a big event like this, interactive 360 degree panoramas was used as a news media.
I was assigned by the Danish Radio and Television www.dr.dk to do panoramas from the event.

I was present at the Gala performance at the Royal Theatre (chosen as one of 6 photographers), in the Cathedral for the Wedding, at Fredensborg Castle for the Banquet, and at the Wedding Waltz at the end of the day. The Theatre was stitched and online at the Danish Radio the morning after, so was the 3 panoramas from the day.

Click on the image below to see them all in Fullscreen QTVR.

At DR.dk you can also see them in a small Quicktime version as well as Java panoramas

Hans Nyberg also documented the Christening of the new Crown Prince in 2006. See the panoramas at DR.dk
